Why Your Transaction Is Pending

Written by Ibukunoluwa Kohode

A pending transaction does not mean anything is wrong or that your money is missing. It simply means the transaction is still being processed.

Here are common reasons why this may happen:

1. NIBSS Downtime (Bank Network Delay)

This is a temporary issue from the Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement System and affects all financial institutions. Once service is restored, your transaction will complete automatically.

2. Poor Network Connection

If your internet connection or the receiving bank’s network is unstable, it may cause a delay in processing.

3. System Glitch or Delay

Sometimes a delay may occur on our end due to temporary system load. This is usually resolved quickly.
