All You Need to Know About Your EUR Account

Written by Pouchers Desk

Your Pouchers EUR account gives you a unique virtual IBAN, issued the moment your KYC is approved. No waitlist, no paperwork, no branch visit. Once it's live, you can receive EUR from your own EU/EEA account, a registered business, or family, the same way you'd receive money into any European bank account.

How you receive money

Your account is addressable on two payment rails.

Rail

What it is

Fee

Deposit timeline

SEPA Instant

The standard European instant payment network

0.7%, min $2, max $10

Up to 5 minutes. Runs 24/7/365, no cutoffs

Whoever is paying you needs your IBAN to send EUR. You'll find it on your account screen.

Please Note: The minimum deposit is €2; deposits above €1,000,000 automatically route through SEPA Credit instead of SEPA Instant. If the beneficiary bank doesn't support SEPA Instant or doesn't respond in time, your payment is automatically rerouted as SEPA Credit. Deposits are also held in review by our banking partner before final status is confirmed, so the timelines above are a guide, not a guarantee.

What transactions are permitted

  1. First-party payments you send yourself from your own EU/EEA account

  2. Third-party payments from a registered business

  3. Third-party payments from family, capped at €2,000

Please note: Unlike GBP, EUR does allow person-to-person transfers from family, up to €2,000. Business and first-party payments have no cap.

Where the sender's account must be

The sender's IBAN must be issued in the EU/EEA, the UK, or a small number of neighbouring countries and territories. Contact support if you're not sure whether a specific country is covered.

About payment references

Deposits are matched to your account using your IBAN alone; no reference is required from your sender. If they want to add one for their own records, they can, and it'll appear on their bank statement, but it won't affect whether your deposit is matched.

What this account can't be used for

Your EUR account is built for receiving legitimate payments: salary, freelance income, invoices, and business settlements. It can't be used to receive payments related to crypto, P2P transfers, betting, or forex trading. Payments tied to these will be declined or flagged for review.
