Understanding Wallet Funding and Withdrawal Fees

Written by Ibukunoluwa Kohode

Pouchers charges a small fee when you fund your wallet or withdraw money to your bank account.

Funding Your Pouchers Wallet

A 1% processing fee applies to Naira deposits, capped at ₦1,000.

This means:

  • Deposit ₦50,000 → ₦500 processing fee

  • Deposit ₦500,000 → ₦1,000 processing fee

Once the 1% fee reaches the ₦1,000 cap, you won't pay more than ₦1,000, regardless of how much you deposit.

There is a 1% charge on every deposit made into your Naira account. This means that for every deposit you make, a 1% fee is deducted.

For example, if you deposit ₦10,000, the 1% charge is ₦100, so ₦9,900 will be credited to your account.

The fee is capped at ₦1,000, so regardless of how much you deposit, you will never be charged more than ₦1,000 per deposit.

For example:

• ₦10,000 deposit → ₦100 fee → ₦9,900 received

• ₦50,000 deposit → ₦500 fee → ₦49,500 received

• ₦100,000 deposit → ₦1,000 fee → ₦99,000 received

• ₦200,000 deposit → ₦1,000 fee → ₦199,000 received

So, once the 1% fee reaches ₦1,000, ₦1,000 is the maximum charge per deposit.

The more you deposit, the lower the fee becomes as a percentage of your total deposit.

Withdrawing to Your Bank Account

A flat ₦100 withdrawal fee applies when you withdraw money from your Pouchers wallet to your bank account.

These fees are automatically applied when you make a deposit or withdrawal.
