Pouchers lets you create foreign currency accounts in USD, EUR, and GBP, giving you more ways to receive and manage money internationally. Activate whichever account you need first, and activate the others whenever you're ready.
Log in to the Pouchers app. If you don't have an account yet, create one first.
At the top of your screen, tap the currency account you want to activate: "USD Account", "EUR Account", or "GBP Account".
Under your account balance, tap "Activate Wallet".
Scroll down and select "Activate [Currency] Account".
Tap "Activate Account".
Read and accept the Terms of Use.
Please Note: The steps are the same for all three currencies. Just pick the one you want and follow the same prompts.
Enter your personal details. Make sure they match your identification documents exactly.
Verify your identity. Choose NIN, International Passport, or Driver's Licence, then take a clear photo when prompted and submit it. We strongly advise using your International Passport for verification.
Please Note: Identity verification takes time to review. You can't continue to the next step until it's approved.
Once verification is approved, tap "Continue".
Provide your Source of Funds. This is how you earn or receive the money you plan to put into the account.
Select your most recent occupation and your employment status.
Select the account's primary purpose: business transactions, charitable donations, or another option shown.
Enter your expected monthly account usage: roughly how much you expect to send and receive. Selecting a high expected volume will trigger an enhanced due diligence request after your account is created.
Confirm the account is for your stated purpose and accept the personal use declaration.
Once everything is submitted and approved, your foreign currency account is ready. You can access your account details and start using it right away.
