How to Activate Your Foreign Account

Pouchers lets you create Foreign Accounts in USD, EUR, and GBP, giving you more ways to receive and manage money internationally. You can activate the account you need first and activate the others whenever you’re ready.

How to Activate Your Foreign Account

  1. Log in to the Pouchers app. If you don't have an account yet, create your Pouchers account.

  2. At the top of your screen, tap the currency account you want to activate: USD Account, EUR Account, or GBP Account.

  3. Under your account balance, tap Activate Wallet.

  4. Scroll down and select Activate [Currency] Account.

  5. Tap Activate Account.

  6. Read and accept the Terms of Use.

The activation steps are the same for all three currencies. Select the account you want to activate and follow the prompts.

Complete Your Identity Verification

  1. Enter your personal details, ensuring they match your identification documents.

  2. Choose one of the accepted identification options: International Passport or Driver’s Licence.

  3. Follow the prompts to submit a clear image of your identification document.

We recommend using your International Passport for verification.

How Long Does Verification Take?

Identity verification is processed immediately. Once your verification is approved, you can proceed to the next stage.

Complete Your Account Information

Once your identity verification is approved, continue with the following steps:

  1. Tap Continue.

  2. Provide your Source of Funds information, explaining how you earn or receive the money you intend to put into the account.

  3. Select your most recent occupation and employment status.

  4. Choose the account’s primary purpose, such as business transactions, charitable donations, or another option displayed in the app.

  5. Enter your expected monthly account activity, including how much you expect to send and receive.

  6. Confirm that the account will be used for your stated purpose and accept the personal use declaration.

What Is Enhanced Due Diligence?

If you indicate that you expect to handle high transaction volumes, you may be asked to complete enhanced due diligence after your account is created.

This involves providing additional information or supporting documents to help verify your identity, source of funds, and expected account activity.

You may be asked to provide:

  • Proof of address

  • A valid ID card

Follow the instructions provided in the app or in the additional verification request to complete this process.

Start Using Your Foreign Account

Once you’ve submitted the required information and your account has been approved, you can access your account details and receive eligible payments.

Remember that USD, EUR, and GBP Foreign Accounts are currently available, while CAD Foreign Accounts are coming soon.
